Written by Angad Singh

A quiz is added to a course as its evaluation. This article shows how to attach a quiz and set its grading options.

Before you begin

Build and publish the quiz first. See Create a quiz.

Steps

1. Go to the Instructor Panel or the All Courses dashboard and find the course you want to add the quiz to. For an overview, see About the Instructor Panel.

2. Click the course to open the Course Creation window.

3. Go to the Content phase (phase 4). In the Course Content field, choose Add Quiz.

A Select Quiz field with a drop-down menu appears.

4. Click anywhere in the light gray bar to show the quizzes.

The drop-down lists the quizzes in your workspace.

Note: Only published quizzes appear in the list. You can't attach a draft quiz to a course.

5. Click the quiz you want to add.

The quiz is added to the course and more options appear.

6. Set the four quiz options:

  • Passing Marks

  • Do not grade this quiz

  • Pass the user in the entire course if this quiz is passed

  • Exclude the score if the quiz is failed

7. Click Add.

Good to know

  • Besides quizzes, course lectures can hold SOPs, PDFs, videos and PowerPoint files.

  • Course settings such as max attempts and lockout control how many times a trainee can retake the course.
