Use the drag-and-drop box in a Kaizen

Add files, photos and sketches to a Kaizen by dragging them into the drag-and-drop box or using its icons.

The drag & drop box is one of the ways to add information to a Kaizen. It appears in both the side window and the detail view, just below the Add Link field.

It is the central place for adding attachments. You can use it to add three of the four types of information you can attach to a Kaizen: files, photos (with or without a sketch) and sketches.

The fourth type, a web URL, is added with Add Link.

This is what the drag & drop box looks like:

With the drag & drop box you can:

  • Add a file or document to a Kaizen.

  • Add a photo to a Kaizen.

  • Add a sketch to a Kaizen.

  • Add a photo with a sketch.

Add a file or document

  1. Find the file on your computer.

  2. Click and drag the file into the box.

  3. Release the mouse button when the cursor is inside the box.

Tip: you can attach several files at once. Select all the files on your computer and drag them into the box together. When the cursor is over the box, it shows how many files are being uploaded.

Add a sketch, photo or photo with a sketch

Click the relevant icon of the two icons in the bottom-right corner of the box.

The drag & drop box is a quick way to add information to a Kaizen. If browsing for a file in a dialog box is confusing, find it on your computer and drag it into the box instead.
