Add a Loss Tree

Create a Loss Tree from the Loss Trees dashboard to analyze imported defect data for a date range.

Add a Loss Tree to analyze your imported defect data for a date range and see where losses come from.

Steps

1. Log in to your LeanSuite account with your credentials.

2. Go to the Loss Trees dashboard from the Cost Management parent menu. Need help? See About Cost Management navigation.

3. In the top-right corner, click Add New. The Add Loss Tree window opens.

4. Enter the required information, such as the Loss Tree title and the date range (start and end date) to analyze.

5. Click Save in the top-right corner.

Note: A Loss Tree takes a date range and analyzes the imported defect data within it to return results. Learn more in What is Cost Management?

Result

A green pop-up notification appears in the top-right corner to confirm that the new Loss Tree was added.

Tip: You can also create a Loss Tree while importing data. When you import Stage 2 defects, enter a Loss Tree title and start and end date, and the Loss Tree is created from the uploaded data. See Import data into Cost Management.
