A default due date makes sure certain issues are always prioritised and resolved within a time frame you set.
A facility can have many departments and pillars, and the work in each has a different priority and importance. When an issue is raised, it can relate to any department. Some issues need to be solved sooner than other, less sensitive ones.
Example: a faulty screw in a part on the assembly line must be fixed as soon as possible to avoid further loss of time and cost. An area must also be cleared to make storage space for a project that starts in two months. There is time before the project starts, but the faulty screw can cause further delays, so the first issue is more important than the second.
What a default due date does
A default due date makes sure that certain issues are always prioritised and resolved within a time frame you set in the system. You can base it on the priority of the issue, so the number of days allowed is taken from the priority.
You set default due dates in Tag Settings, on the Settings tab.
