Run an in-class training session

Schedule instructor-led training with seats and a waitlist, and record attendance with an attendance code.

Written by Angad Singh

In-class courses are instructor-led training held at a set time and place. This article explains how to set up a session, record attendance and track results.

Set up the session

  1. In the Instructor Panel, create or open a course and choose In-class.

  2. Enter the location, instructor, date and time, duration and number of seats.

  3. Optionally turn on the waitlist and auto-enroll from the waitlist when a seat frees up.

  4. Click Save.

Learners can enroll from the course catalog on the web or in the mobile app, or you can assign people directly.

During the session

  1. Share the session's attendance code in the room. The code is generated for the session.

  2. Trainees enter the code to confirm they attended. This acts as their sign-off.

  3. Mark people present or absent as the instructor, if needed.

After the session

  • Completion updates each trainee's training record and, if the course is linked to a skill, their Skills Matrix level.

  • Course Analytics shows enrollment, attendance and quiz results.

  • Instructor hours are tracked as planned (duration × enrolled) and actual (attended).
