As we know that the suggestion system aims to creates a holistic work environment where improvement ideas are welcomed as suggestions and fruitful initiatives are rewarded; the suggestion settings/preferences option contains options for the rewards aspect of suggestions.
Every time a user submits a suggestion, or a suggestion gets implemented, a fixed number of points are added to the user’s account enabling him to use them towards gaining rewards.
The options inside settings/preferences enables the admin to specify the number of points a user will gain for activities relating to suggestion system.
Follow the steps below to specify the number of points for activities:
Step 1
Navigate to the Suggestion System module by clicking the Suggestion button on the home page.
Step 2
Now click on Suggestion Settings from the left parent menu.
A new Preferences window will open up with a flow chart depicting a typical suggestion workflow.
The points awarded to any person involved are based on the steps in the flow chart right from submitting a suggestion to being implemented in form of a suggestion or a kaizen!
Step 3
Go to the top right corner of the window and click on Edit.
A new window will open up with various fields to input data.
There are two main inputs; one is the number of points on the right side and the other is a checkbox on the left.
The number of points simply means the rewards an employee would gaina t certain steps of the workflow. The checkbox button allows you to remove the option of awarding any points at a particular step.
When a field is ticked off it simply disappears from the flow chart.
Once you are done editing click on Save & Apply in the bottom right corner.
