About MTTR Section
MTTR stands for Mean Time To Repair.
MTTR in lean manufacturing is an important performance metric that measures the average time required to diagnose, repair, and restore equipment to full functionality after a failure occurs.
It consists of various stages of the repair process, such as initial wait time, diagnostic time, spare part waiting time, and the actual repair and replacement time. Monitoring and optimizing the MTTR helps organizations reduce equipment downtime, enhance operational efficiency, and improve overall productivity!
Here are the major fields in the MTTR Section:
Breakdown Start Time when the equipment failure occurs.
Breakdown End : Time when the equipment is fully repaired and operational.
Maintenance Start : Time when the maintenance team begins the repair.
Initial Wait Time : Duration before maintenance starts after the breakdown.
Diagnostic Time : Time spent identifying the cause of the failure.
Spare Part Waiting Time : Time spent waiting for necessary parts to arrive.
Repair and Replacement Time : Time taken to fix or replace the faulty components.

Step 1
Add the MTTR section from the available list to the required phase.

When a new section is added it appears under the previous section; in this case Additional Details Section.
Step 2
Expand the section by clicking anywhere in the section field, or on the arrow on the right side.
The arrow can also be used to collapse the section.
There would be 7 fields available in the MTTR section to add information about the analysis of a breakdown.

Useful Facts!
The time field is nested in the calender window for date.
Enter the information in the fields as required.
Step 3
Click on Save when you are finished.
Collapse the MTTR section post saving.
