Section: Team
The Team section lets you add the team or the people who will be involved or required to handle the issue or complete the process related to the Kaizen!
You can add multiple team members, choose the type of the member added and also allocate time to the team members!
Let’s go ahead and a team to our kaizen in Plan Phase!

Step 1
Add the Team section from the available list to the required phase.

Useful Facts!
When a new section is added it appears under the previous section; in this case Tool Section.
Step 2
Expand the section by clicking anywhere in the section field, or on the arrow on the right side.
The arrow can also be used to collapse the section.
Initially, there would be no members added as the section has been added for the first time to the phase.
Click on Add Member.
Step 3
The Add Member button will be replaced by a Search drop-down menu.
A Team is made of 4 types of members:
Team Sponsor | Team Lead | Team Coach | Team Member |

There can be one Team Sponsor, Team Lead and Team Coach. There can be multiple Team Members.
Adding people to a team is done in two steps:
Selection of Member Type
Selecting User from database
Click on the Select Member Type dropdown menu which becomes available when Add Member button is clicked.
Step 4
Once the Member Type is selected, a new Select User dropdown field will appear.
Click in the field and start entering the name of the user you wish to add as the Selected member type (in our case Lead).
Useful facts!
As you enter the name, the user results will show up to choose from. The number of Available Hours are shown right below the username to make sure the member being added to the kaizen has availability.
The selected user will be added to the list with a Member Card appearing in a list manner showing the time allocated and the type of user.
Repeat Step 3 & Step 4 to create a team as required for the kaizen.
Step 5
Once you have added all team members, you can edit their details using the options present in the Member Card.
Let’s explore the member card!
Click on the pencil icon to open the editing options in the Member card.
Once the Edit mode is on (the pencil icon will disappear), you can edit:
Time Allocation
Enter the time you wish to allocate in the input field provided.
Member Type
Click on the member type icon right next to the garbage bin icon.
A small member type window will open up.
Choose and click on the type you wish to change.
Once you have selected the type, the icon will update along with a notification on the top right corner of the screen confirming the updations.
Smart Connections!
The Member type window also displays Savings Distribution ( on ) along with their respective allocations for the savings!

Delete a Member
The last option in the Edit Mode, delete icon, let’s you remove a member from the team!
Make the required changes and collapse the section when you are finished!
Congratulations! We have successfully learned about the Team Section inside Kaizen!
