Result Section
As the name indicates, the result section lets a user add the result of the problem/issue/project solved with kaizen.
This section serves as a central collection space where the financial data is added as the kaizen moves forward and an overview of the result is always available to view!
This result is based on the financial outcome of a kaizen involving three categories, costs, benefits through savings and capital expense. The section provides fields to input various information about the aforementioned factors and based on the input amounts produces the result for a kaizen!
Useful Facts!
The result of the kaizen is related to the Target Phase section in terms of function but with different purpose.
The Target Phase sets the targets to be achieved consisting of various kinds of savings, cost avoidances, capital expenses and more.
The Result section on the other hand, carries all the actual data after the completion of the kaizen and calculates the result.
Let us understand the section with a flowchart:
|
| The Result of a Kaizen |
Section | Purpose | Description |
Benefits | Data Collector | This indicates the benefits from the kaizen completion in tems of savings or different kinds (hard, soft, virtual etc.) |
Cost | Data Collector | This refers to the cost incurred during the implementation of the project handled by the Kaizen. |
Capital Expense | Data Collector | This refers to cost as well but specifically to any capital expense incurred during the implementation of the project handled by the Kaizen. |
Analysis Report | Result Overview | Provided an analytical report of the current financial state of the kaizen. |
Result Distribution | Distribution Overview | Shows the percentage distribution of the result amongst the people involved (team of the kaizen). |
The threedata collector sections have their own fields and options that take in information about the costs involved and produce an analysis report & result distribution from the given data.
As the kaizen proceeds, data can be fed into the section; costs, savings, capital expenses. Upon the completion it not only shows the financial results of the project but also acts as a documentation for the financial part of the project since all the expenditure and results are recorded in the section.
