About the Cost Management dashboard

Learn what the Cost Management dashboard's overview, filters and projects sections show.

Written by Angad Singh

The Cost Management dashboard is a central space that shows the cost overview data for a facility.

This is what a typical Cost Management dashboard looks like:

The Cost Management dashboard has three main sections.

Section 1: Overview

The Overview gives high-level cost data for the facility.

The main headings are:

  • Projected Saving ($): the estimated savings target set for the year.

  • Closed Project Saving ($): the actual savings realized when a project is completed, compared to initial cost estimates or budgets.

  • Carry Over ($): the savings brought forward from last year's target.

  • Slippage ($): delays or postponements in project timelines that lead to deferred costs.

  • Variance ($): the difference between planned or budgeted costs and actual costs, highlighting deviations in expenditure.

Section 2: Search and filter criteria

This section gives you options to search the database for cost data: a Search box and a Filters button. The number next to Filters shows how many filters are applied (by default, the current year).

Click Filters to see all the filter options available for cost results.

Apply the filters you need to get specific results for analysis. For example, use the Saving Type filter to segment the savings data by type.

Section 3: Projects overview

The Projects Overview shows cost data by project inside the facility. This section has two tabs: Hard Savings Project and All Savings Projects.

Each project appears as a card. The card shows the project ID (with a copy icon), title and status, its savings amounts and the people assigned. Chips below show the Actual Start Date, Due Date, Department, Line, Workstation, Asset and Close Date. Click the arrow on the right of a card to expand it.
