An F-Tag's status shows where the issue is in the process at any given time.
An F-Tag moves through four stages, and its status changes at each one. For the full process, see Operate an F-Tag.
Open
The F-Tag has been created and is ready to be submitted to the next stage.
Pending Verification
The F-Tag has been submitted and is ready to be verified by the responsible person. Verification is done by the assignee of the tag and has two parts:
The assignee verifies the tag.
Based on the verification, the assignee decides:
If the issue is confirmed, it is acted on and Marked as Complete.
If the issue belongs to another expert, authority or assignee, it is Sent Back with a reason. The status returns to Open, and the tag must be submitted again.
Overdue
Every F-Tag has a due date by which it must be resolved. If the due date passes and the issue is not resolved, the status changes to Overdue.
Close
When the issue is resolved, the F-Tag is marked as complete and the status changes to Close.
Using the status
After creation, the Status option on the F-Tag (in both the side window and the detail view) is how you move, update and reassign the tag in LeanSuite. You control the progress of the F-Tag through its status.
Good to know
Kanban Board: the Kanban board shows tags as cards in status columns. Move a card to another column, for example from Open to Pending Verification, to change its status.
Workflows: administrators can customise the statuses and transitions for the Tags module in the Workflow builder, so your facility may use different statuses. Depending on your workflow, an approver may complete tags that are in Pending Verification.
Tier escalation: a tag can be escalated to another tier (Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3) with a comment. The members of that tier receive an email.
