Lean Studio has two types of dashboard: Grid and Freeform. You choose the layout type when you create a dashboard.
Grid and Freeform compared

Grid (fixed board) | Widgets snap into a tidy grid | KPI boards, SQDC boards and tier boards that look the same every day |
Freeform | A canvas where you can place widgets anywhere and add sticky notes, text, shapes, arrows and templates | Huddle boards with notes, problem-solving boards, announcements, and visual layouts such as VSM |
Both types use the same widgets and live data.
Find dashboards by type
On the Lean Studio page, each dashboard card shows its type as a Grid or Freeform badge.
Use the All, Grid and Free Flow tabs to list one type at a time.
Note: The Free Flow tab lists Freeform dashboards.
