Revised due date reasons are the reasons users choose when they change the due date of a Kaizen. Admins define them so they match your company's processes. This article shows you how to add them.
Who can do this: admins with permission to manage Kaizen settings.
Steps
1. Go to the Revised Due Date Reasons dashboard in Kaizen Settings. For help, see Navigate the Kaizen parent menu.
2. Click the Add New button at the top right.
The Add New Reason window opens.
3. In the Reason for Revised Due Date box, type the name of the new reason.
Tip: you can add several reasons at once.
To add another reason, click the green + sign at the right of the box. A new box appears with its own red - and green + signs.
To remove a reason you added, click the red - sign.
A scroll bar appears as you add more reasons.
4. Click Submit at the bottom right of the window.
Result
The new reasons appear on the Revised Due Date Reasons dashboard.
Note: new reasons are added at the top of the list. A scroll bar appears on the right as the list grows.
Good to know
Non-admin users must choose one of these reasons when they revise a Kaizen's due date. The request then appears on the Approval Dashboard, and approvers get an email and in-app notification.
The approved date is shown in the Revised Due Date column of the Kaizen Dashboard and drives the project's bar in the Gantt view. The dashboard also shows how many days the project is delayed and how many times its due date has changed.
Due date extension exports include the Revised Due Date Reason and Kaizen Project ID columns.
