When you create a Kaizen, you fill in fields with the information it needs. This information is saved with the Kaizen and shown on the dashboard.
After a Kaizen is submitted, you can edit its information as the Kaizen progresses. There are two kinds of information you can edit.
Properties information
This is the information entered when the Kaizen was created, such as type, loss type, due date, start date and methodology. To learn about these fields, see Add and edit fields when creating a Kaizen.
Where to edit it: in the side window, or in the details field of the Kaizen detail view.
You edit most properties by choosing a new value from the field's drop-down menu. The exception is the due date (see below).
Attached information
This is information or data attached to the Kaizen after creation, such as files, photos, sketches, web URLs and section content. To learn about attaching information, see Attach information and data to a Kaizen.
Where to edit it: in the side window, or in the implementation field of the Kaizen detail view.
Editing the due date
Changing a Kaizen's due date is a critical decision that needs additional information and approval. When you change the due date, a separate window opens to collect the required information.
The new date is shown as the Revised Due Date on the Kaizen dashboard. To learn more, see Edit the due date of a Kaizen.
Good to know
Labels can be viewed and edited directly in the Kaizen quick view (side window) and the detail view.
Whether a Kaizen can be edited can depend on its status. Admins can set each workflow status to allow edits or to lock the record. See View the workflow attached to a Kaizen.
