The Description of Repairs section lets you record the repairs carried out, when the problem addressed by the Kaizen requires them.
Repairs are of two basic types: Replacements and Adjustments. For each, you record details of the resources used to repair the problem.
Use the Description of Repairs section
1. Add the Description of Repairs section from the available list to the required phase. See Add or remove sections from Kaizen phases.
Note: a newly added section appears below the last section in the phase.
2. Expand the section by clicking anywhere in the section field, or on the arrow on the right side. You can also use the arrow to collapse the section.
The section has two views, Replacements and Adjustments.
3. Use the toggle button to switch between the two views. By default, the section is set to Replacements.
Both views are the same, except that Replacements has an extra field for spare parts. In Replacements, you record the type and number of spare parts used.
Note: the spare parts inventory is created when your facility is set up in LeanSuite.
4. Use the drop-down menu to find the spare part.
5. Use the + and - buttons to enter the number of parts used.
6. To add another spare part, click the green + sign next to the number field.
7. Click Save when you finish.
8. Collapse the section.
