The Lean Creator Window is where a template takes shape. It holds the options for building the structure of a template (pages, sections and questions), choosing response types, and setting properties, rules and scoring.

The window has three main components: the navigation bar, the creator window and the preview window.
Navigation bar
Shows the status of the template and holds the save, publish and exit options.
Creator window
This is where you create questions and responses and edit their properties. For each question you can:
choose the response type
mark it as Required
mark a response as flagged/critical
Enable scoring (points per answer, with a total and a pass/fail threshold)
Add rules, for example to ask a follow-up question, require evidence (photo and comment), flag the response, start an F-Tag, Suggestion or Kaizen, or notify someone
Drag the six-dot handle to reorder questions.
Preview window
A live phone preview of the template, showing it as the assigned user will see it. It updates in real time as you edit.
Good to know
Templates generated with Create with AI open in the same window, so you can review and adjust the AI's questions, rules and scoring before saving.
When you save, you can add labels and choose the visibility: Private, Workspace or Public.
