Templates built in Lean Creator are used across LeanSuite. Administrators build the templates, and people complete them as assigned activities.
Daily Standard Work
Lean Creator templates are the basis of Daily Standard Work (DSW). Each template becomes an activity that can be assigned to you, or that you assign to others.
Activities collect data and responses, and are used for audits, checks, inspections and assessments.
You can assign a template to users, a role or an asset, on a recurring schedule.
Other places templates are used
Kaizen: templates with the type Kaizen (for example a 5W2H form) appear in Kaizen Settings and can be added as sections to Kaizen projects.
Skill Matrix: assessment templates can be used for on-the-job skills assessments.
Rules in a template can start an F-Tag, Suggestion or Kaizen when a certain answer is given.
Submissions and reporting: each template's Submissions and Reporting tabs in Lean Creator show completed responses, including flagged and critical answers. Results can also be shown on Lean Studio dashboards.
Sharing templates
When you save a template, you choose its visibility:
Private: available in your facility only (the default).
Workspace: available in all of your company's facilities. Use this to share a standard workflow with colleagues in other locations.
Public: published to the Marketplace, where other companies can clone it.
Important: Never choose Public for internal SOPs.
The Marketplace also offers ready-made templates, such as 5S, Gemba Walk, Forklift Inspection and LOTO, that you can clone and adapt. You can open it from Lean Creator or from Daily Standard Work.
