Build a new template from scratch in Lean Creator, or let AI create a first draft for you.

Open Lean Creator

1. Log in to your LeanSuite account. On the home page, click the

Lean Creator button to open the Lean Creator dashboard.

Create the template

2. In the top right corner of the dashboard, click Create Template.

Tip: To have AI build a first draft for you instead, use Create with AI (see below).

3. In the Create New Template window, enter the basic details of the template. You'll build the content in the main Lean Creator Window next.

The window has four main fields:

Template Name	The name of the template.
Pillar	The pillar the template belongs to.
Template type	The type of template. The type labels the template, so it is easy to find and assign for a particular task. Types include: Assessment/Skill Matrix Audit Inspection Kaizen (builds a custom section that can be added to Kaizen projects) Quiz Survey SOP Other
Access Permission	Who can use the template: Private: this facility only (the default). Use this for activities specific to one facility. Workspace: all of your company's facilities. Public: published to the Marketplace, where other companies can clone it. Never choose this for internal SOPs.

4. Click Create in the top right corner.

Build and publish

The Lean Creator Window opens. This is where you build the template: its pages, sections, questions, response types and properties.

5. Build your template. Building a template can take more than one sitting, so you can save your work as a draft. Open the template again from the dashboard to continue editing.

6. When the template is ready, click Save & Publish. You are then prompted to schedule (assign) it.

Create with AI

Instead of building a template from scratch, click Create with AI on the Lean Creator dashboard and choose a mode:

Mode	Input	Output
Form	A prompt (for example "5S audit for fab shop"), or an uploaded form or procedure	An audit, checklist, LPA, Gemba walk or safety inspection, with rules
Video SOP	A video	An SOP with purpose, scope, PPE, tools, warnings and steps with frames
OPL	Images (or a short video)	A one-point lesson with acknowledgement questions
Combine Docs	Several SOPs or manuals	One consolidated procedure
Assessment	A prompt	An on-the-job skills assessment linked to the Skill Matrix

Tips

Upload PDFs or images. Convert Word, PowerPoint and multi-sheet Excel files to PDF first.
Refine the result by chatting, for example "add a CTQ to step 6".
AI drafts are visible only to you until you save them.
