The Result section lets you record the outcome of the problem, issue or project that the Kaizen addresses.
It is the central place where you add financial data as the Kaizen progresses, and it always shows an up-to-date overview of the result.
The result is based on the financial outcome of the Kaizen across three categories: benefits (savings), costs and capital expenses. You enter amounts for each category, and the section calculates the result.
Note: the Result section works alongside the Target section, but has a different purpose:
The Target section sets the targets to achieve, such as types of savings, cost avoidances and capital expenses.
The Result section holds the actual data recorded during and after the Kaizen, and calculates the result.

The three data collector sub-sections take in information about costs and savings, and produce the Analysis Report and Result Distribution from that data.
As the Kaizen proceeds, you add costs, savings and capital expenses. When the Kaizen is complete, the section shows the project's financial results and serves as the record of all its expenditure and results.
Use the Result section
1. Add the Result section from the available list to the required phase. See Add or remove sections from Kaizen phases.
Note: a newly added section appears below the last section in the phase.
2. Expand the section by clicking anywhere in the section field, or on the arrow on the right side. You can also use the arrow to collapse the section.
The Result section has three sub-sections, Benefits, Cost and Capital Expense, where you add data while the Kaizen is being implemented. It also has two other options: Analysis Report and View Result Distribution.
Analysis Report
To open it, click the graphs icon in the top-left corner of the section.
The Analysis Report shows the result of the Kaizen as Net Savings. It updates each time you add Benefit, Cost or Capital Expense data.

View Result Distribution
To open it, click the View Result Distribution button in the top-right corner of the section. It shows the team members and the amount distributed to each of them.
Note: the result of a Kaizen can be distributed among the team. You set up this distribution with savings distribution. See About savings distribution in Kaizen.
It shows:
Each team member's percentage of the distribution
The actual amount distributed
An option to change the distribution percentage
Tip: savings distribution is set up in Kaizen savings distribution, but you can change a member's allocation here if needed. Go to the number field next to the user's name and use the + or - sign to increase or decrease their allocation.

3. Expand the Benefits, Cost or Capital Expense sub-section.
4. Enter the data for that category.
Add data as the Kaizen progresses. The Analysis Report updates each time you add data.
Good to know
Each savings entry in the Result section has an Active / Inactive status. Only active savings count towards the results.
Savings status can be Plan, Active, Complete or Inactive. A workflow rule can update the saving status automatically when the Kaizen moves between statuses, which feeds the savings glide path.
