Edit the information stored with a Best Practice as it progresses. When you create a Best Practice, you fill in a set of fields; this information is stored with it and shown on the dashboard.
Before you begin
Important: You can only edit a Best Practice's properties information while its state is NotApproved.
Approval means the Best Practice has proved effective and should give the same results when applied to that department, pillar or process. For this reason, you can't edit its properties information after it is approved. You can still edit its attached information.
You can see the state of each Best Practice on the dashboard.
What you can edit
There are two types of information you can edit:
Properties information: the fields you filled in when you created the Best Practice. You edit these in the side window or in the Details field of the detail view.
Attached information: files, photos, sketches and web links added after creation. See Attach information and data to a Best Practice. You edit these in the side window or in the Implementation field of the detail view.
Edit properties information
1. Open the Best Practice in the side window or the detail view. For help, see Open an existing Best Practice.
2. Go to the field you want to change (in the detail view, it is in the Details field).
3. Choose the new value from the field's drop-down menu.
Note: All properties can be edited from a drop-down menu except Due Date. Changing the due date needs a reason and approval, so it opens a separate request window. See Edit the due date of a Best Practice.
