What is the F-Tag module in LeanSuite?

Capture, assign, track and fix problems found on the shop floor.

Written by Angad Singh

The F-Tag module is for problems found on the floor, such as safety hazards, quality defects, equipment abnormalities, leaks or 5S issues. Anyone can raise a tag. It's assigned to the right person, fixed, and verified.

How a tag works

  1. Raise: on the web or mobile app, choose the tag type, location, priority and a description, and add a photo. Scan a location QR code to fill in the location automatically.

  2. Assign: the tag goes to the right person automatically based on your settings, or it's assigned manually.

  3. Fix: the assignee works on it, adds comments and attachments, and updates the status.

  4. Escalate (optional): if it can't be fixed at this level, escalate it to the next tier.

  5. Verify and close: an approver checks the fix and closes the tag.

Ways to view tags

Open the module by clicking Tag on your home page. The left menu gives you each view:

Tag left menu with Tag Dashboard, Floor Plan, Kanban Board, Tag Reports and Tag Settings
  • Tag Dashboard list, with filters, group-by and saved views

  • Kanban Board by status

  • Floor Plan showing tags on a map of your facility

  • Tag Reports

Tag types

Your site decides which tag types to use, for example Safety, Quality, Environment, Autonomous Maintenance and Professional Maintenance. Each type can have its own color and routing.

From tag to improvement

If the root cause needs a bigger fix, start a Kaizen from the tag.
